Quang Ninh to launch Ha Long - Quang Ninh 2012 Tourism Week
According the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee, the Ha Long -
Quang Ninh 2012 Tourism Week will be organized from April 22-30 at the
Tuan Chau Tourist Area, Bai Chay Tourist Area and in the centre of Ha
Long City.
With the aim to promote the image of the Northern Province’s tourism in general and Ha Long Bay in particular, the coming event includes various interesting programs namely Ha Long Carnaval 2012, the best MC on Ha Long Bay contest, Ha Long photo exhibition, music and art performance on Ha Long - Quang Ninh, cuisine festival, sports tournament, etc.
In addition, many other cultural, tourist and sports activities will be launched at tourism centers in the province such as Mong Cai City, Uong Bi, Dong Trieu and Van Don Districts.
All of the activities will be the combination between traditional values with modern style, according to the Organizing Board.
Besides, the Ha Long - Quang Ninh 2012 Tourism Week will attract the participation of domestic and international provinces and cities such as Ha Noi, Hai Phong, 5 northern key economic and sea-coast provinces, province members of the East Asia Inter-regional Tourism Forum (EATOF), Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan and Yunnan of China as well as other six cities whose wonders have been voted as new natural wonders of the world.
Quang Ninh province attracted about 550,000 tourists to joint the Ha Long Tourism Week 2011.
